I am pleased to announce the successful applicants to the Tender Photo Editorial Fellowship. Beginning with the January 17, 2024 issue of the newsletter, the Fellows will initiate and facilitate correspondence with the featured photographers, write short narrative captions, and prepare the newsletter for publication. Join me in congratulating the following individuals in this esteemed cohort.

Onotu David is a performance poet, writer, and journalist. He is the author of How Butterflies are Made, a novel, and producer of Zaman Tare (Living Together), a short film on peaceful coexistence. Passionate about the arts, he resides in Jos, Nigeria, where he provides mentorship resources for creative enthusiasts. 

moshood is a writer and photographer who lives in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He is interested in utilising his photographic practice as a medium of self expression, of try-outs, and metaphysical exploration. His work has been published in a number of publications, both online and in print.

Sana Ginwalla is an Indian-Zambian photographer and curator with a keen love for the past. In 2018, she founded Everyday Lusaka, an art platform that works to shift towards a more considered visual representation of Zambia.  

Sibongakonke Mama is a writer working in poetry and playwriting, and winner of the 2022 National Playwright Competition sponsored by Heineken Beverages. Her work has appeared in various South African platforms including the Mail & Guardian, Nature is Louder and New Coin where it won the New Coin Poetry Prize.

Zenas Ubere is a writer from Nigeria. He was selected for LOATAD’s 2023 West African Writers Residency and was a participant in the SBMEN & Goethe Institut Art Writing and Criticism Workshop. He is the coordinator of Lolwe Classes.
